forty years of making the best air pressure regulator for tubing extrusion
On Line Controls, Inc., is the recognized industry leader in the field of ultra low air pressure regulators for internal air support during the “free” extrusion of plastic tubing, “MicroAir”. OLC has a reputation for manufacturing high quality reliable products which are sold worldwide and have a lifespan of over 10 – 25 years.
While the basic body design of our MicroAirs have been improved upon each year, it still maintains the same outer look and ease of use. MicroAirs precisely regulate and control the internal air pressure for extruded tubing and other types of markets where extremely low air pressure is needed. One of the advantages of a MicroAir is that there is no need for spare parts as they rarely have a problem.
MISSION STATEMENT for On Line Controls:
On Line Controls is committed and dedicated to applying our knowledge and resources to understand and support our customer’s needs. Customers value the long lifespan, low maintenance, dependability of our products and our ongoing support.
Plastic Tubing Engineers can expect our MicroAirs to be the most accurate, reliable and precise pressure regulators available for their extrusion lines. Our goal is complete customer satisfaction. Our MicroAir models have a life-span of 10 – 25 years and most are never returned for repairs or service as we use only the highest quality parts so your return on investment is always guaranteed.
Motorized Potentiometer and Motorized Rheostats are built with the highest quality potentiometers, and motors available. Dependability and reliability are built into every unit.
HISTORY of On Line Controls:
On Line Controls was incorporated in 1980 in Westboro, Massachusetts by entrepreneur John D. Saint-Amour. The purpose of which was to manufacture on line control systems for plastic tubing manufacturers. The first analog ID and Wall systems were built “UltraGage” in the early 1980’s. Being an analog device the first Wall system controls were the size of a small refrigerator. With the engineering of John Porter, OLC manufactured the first PC based ultrasonic OD/ID/Wall measurement and control system “UltraGage 2000” for plastic tubing manufacturers and the UltraGage 3000 for pipe, from 1990 thru 2007. The UltraGage product line was sold when the owner John Porter retired. UltraGage was discontinued by OLC in 2007. The company then became more focused on our MicroAir and Motorized Potentiometer lines and has since made great improvements in the quality of both these products. The present owners of On Line Controls are employees of the company with over 35 years of experience working in the industry. Kay DeWolfe is currently both an owner and President of On Line Controls, Inc.
In 1997 OLC moved from 158 East Main St, Westborough, MA to 9A Kane Industrial Dr., Hudson, MA. After more than 20 years, On Line Controls moved on March 25, 2020 to our new location at 697 Hartford Turnpike (Route 20), Shrewsbury, Massachusetts 01545 USA.

MOTORIZED POTENTIOMETERS:
In 1999 the precision motorized potentiometer line was purchased and production started in early 2000 for these dependable high precision proportional controls for automating analog driven devices. OLC is capable of repairing or replicating most old ETI Systems motorized potentiometers built in the 80’s and 90’s. Built from the highest quality materials, their life expectancy is at least 10 – 20 years. Engineers designing new products should contact us with their requirements.
Two Products who used to go together
MicroAirs and Motorized Potentiometers might not seem to go together but in the 1980 and 1990’s both products were used on tubing extrusion lines. MicroAirs to control the internal air pressure and motorized potentiometers for speed control.
