MicroAir I – Manual model
ultra low air pressure regulator for plastic tubing extrusion
Standard Features:
- Various Ranges from 0 – 3 inches of water to our maximum 0 – 5 psi
- Lowest ranges can regulate below 1″ of water with highly accurate precision.
- Manual control with simple 30-turn knob
- Constant, stable, precise and accurate air pressure to control the outside diameter of the tube.
- Magnehelic pressure gauge (4″) for output pressure display

- Damping fluid is used to ensure stable, hysteresis free operation
Pressure Control:
The set point may be adjusted manually on a MicroAir I, ultra low air pressure regulator. When connected to standard factory air supply, the MicroAir’s regulator balances the output pressure against a low-tension spring and expels surplus air to the atmosphere making it a complete air support system. The pressure is maintained for widely varying flow rates such as sudden increase when a cut is made. Manual model controlled by a knob.
RANGE: Range Available from 0-2” of water up to 0-5 psi consequently a range must be specified when ordering. Check out the Range Page for help in choosing a range. Range can be easily change with a range change kit if needed.
Air Input:
The air inlet is connected to normal factory air which has been regulated down to approximately 50 psi.
IMPROVEMENTS
Internal body improvements have been made to the MicroAir I for better precision and stability at the lower ranges. Our units might look the same on the outside but internally they have greatly been improved upon in the last few years. A Stand is now available for sale in the U.S.A. with rollers for moving from extruder to extruder. Also available is an external air pump for use in clean rooms to be used in ranges below 60″ of water.
Options Available (for sale in USA only):
*Stand with 60″ H with handle, and 4 locking casters – will hold 1 – 3 single channel MicroAir – or one multiair.
* External Air Pump – for clean room use or when compressed air is not available.
